Add a little joy everywhere you go!

I love this time of year. People in general just seem to be in a happier frame of mind. We’re looking forward to seeing friends and loved ones, getting together to share a good meal and make more memories and just have fun! Let’s face it – after the last year and a half we could all use a little more fun and joy in our life!

That’s why I am so excited about today’s project – it’s fun and easy rolled into a sweet little package that is sure to bring a smile and joy to everyone! I mean who doesn’t like chocolate? I sure do! My favorite is the Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Mint squares – delish!

With just a little imagination, some cardstock, and adhesive, you can turn a Ghirardelli Chocolate Square into a Grinch (for those on the naughty list) or Santa (for the nice list kids). These are so quick and easy to make and will look so fun on your holiday table. Or keep a few on you to hand out to servers, cashiers, valets, and just about anyone you see this holiday season.

The possibilities are endless! Think elf, snowman, reindeer, penguin, or just about anything you can think of! So what are you waiting for? Watch my YouTube tutorial (and subscribe to my Channel – thanks!), grab some cardstock and get crafting! I promise you it will bring a smile to your face!

Countdown to Christmas – Mini Gift Bags

In continuing my Countdown to Christmas series this week was all about mini gift bags. These little gift bags go together so quickly and are a great alternative to the flat, generic gift card holders. When my kids were little it was so easy to shop for them for Christmas – big boxes with little price tags. As the kids got older, the boxes shrunk but the price tags went up! Now that they are grown and flown, I will want to have some gifts under the tree for them but it gets harder and harder to buy for them and often times a gift card is what they want the most.

Well these mini gift bags fit my need perfectly! I can “wrap” up the gift cards in a pretty little bag and still have presents under the tree! Check out my video tutorial

You will need two 6″ x 6″ pieces of Designer Series Paper, paper snips and liquid glue to assemble your bags. Once assemble you can embellish any way you want. Add a tag and you are all set! Here’s a list of all the products I used to create these mini gift bags https://s.tamp.in/b2KzPl

I hope you have as much fun making these mini gift bags as I did! Happy Crafting!

Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons

We’re all guilty of it. Every single paper crafter is guilty of paper hoarding! We love our pretty paper and no matter how much we have, we want more! It’s just the nature of the beast. Well I am on a mission to use my stash (to make room for more of course) so this week’s Countdown to Christmas Live@Lunch was all about paper bows.

Paper bows are nothing new but it’s been a while since I’ve made one. When looking for an idea for this weeks video I can across an old instruction sheet and had a light blub moment! Paper bows are easy and fun to make. All you need is some paper, a paper trimmer, and some glue. Best of all, you can make them for any occasion by just switching out the paper.

Paper Bow

To get started you will need some Designer Series Paper (DSP), a paper trimmer, silicon craft sheet, and liquid glue. You can order all the supplies you will need here https://s.tamp.in/_EUNmg

Once you have all your supplies assembled you will need to cut 8 strips of DSP to 5 1/2″ long by 1″ wide and 5 strips of DSP to 4 1/2″ long by 1″ wide. Once you have all your paper strips cut, watch my video tutorial to assemble your paper bow.

I hope you have fun making your own paper bows. Let me know how you did! Happy crafting!

Countdown to Christmas – Shaker Ornament

Hello! It’s been a while since I have posted but I am trying to get better at it! I’ve just started my weekly Live@Lunch Countdown to Christmas series so my goal is to do a blog post to go along with my video!

Today I kicked off the series with a fun little shaker ornament. It’s easy to make and one box of Mason Jar Shaker Domes is enough to make 5 double sided ornaments or 10 single sided ornaments.

To make this ornament cut a piece of 6″ x 6″ Designer series paper in half. Hold the 3″ x 6″ pieces of DSP together with the same side (design) facing out and punch with the Mason Jar Punch. Trim 6″ length to about 3 1/2″ to 4″. If desired you can trim the 3″ width to about 2 1/2″ by trimming 1/4″ from each side

Next, punch the Penguin Body with the Penguin Builder Punch. Stamp details on white body part and attach to black body part.

Punch out penguin body parts with Penguin Builder Punch

Now comes the fun part! Place the penguin body in one of the Mason Jar Shaker domes and add some subtle shimmer sequins. Remove the adhesive covering from the back of the Mason Jar Shaker Domes and carefully align the domes, creating a full jar effect. Remove adhesive covering from the front of one of the domes and align DSP over it. Flip the ornament and repeat the process on the back side, adding some liquid glue along the edges of the DSP.

Add elements to Mason Jar Shaker Domes

Punch a hole in the top of your ornament and thread about 8″ to 10″ of ribbon through hole. Tie ribbon ends together in a knot, trimming ends if necessary. Hang your ornament on a tree or add to a gift box or bag for a little extra “WOW”.

Finished 3D Shaker Ornament

Check out my YouTube video as I show how to make one of the ornaments. You can order all the products necessary to make these ornaments by clicking on this link https://s.tamp.in/2NvOvT

I hope you enjoyed the video and are excited to try making your own 3D Shaker Ornament. I’d love to see what you make so be sure to post a picture of your creation. Happy Stamping!

Blog, Cards

You’ll love it when you discover this little secret!

Actually it’s not a secret at all but I do believe it is the absolute best deal in the whole catalog.  The Stampin’ Up! starter kit is a great value at just $99 (plus tax) for $125 in Stampin’ Up! products.  What is even better is that you get to customize your starter kit to get exactly what you want and need.  You will never get stuck with a stamp set or paper that you do not want or like since you get to choose what is included.

Suggested Starter Kit Items

But the benefits do not stop there.  As a Stampin’ Up! independent demonstrator you will always get at least a 20% discount on all your supplies (no coupon needed thank you very much) with the opportunity to increase that to a 25% discount as long as you stay active as a demonstrator.  Who does not like a good discount?  I know I sure do.  And let’s face it, if you are into crafts you are going to spend money on supplies. Why not support your habit while saving some money AND have a chance to make a little money as well.

As long time Stampin’ Up! customer I loved their color coordination (makes it so easy to be successful) and the quality of their products.  When I finally took the plunge and signed up as a demonstrator I wondered what had taken me so long.  In addition to getting my discount on all my supplies, I get to pre-order new items before they are available to the general public.  It’s always fun to be one of the “cool kids” who gets to play with the new toys first!  I can also participate in various incentive programs offered by Stampin’ Up! as well as attend Stampin’ Up! events (darn you COVID-19 for wreaking havoc this year!), qualify for incentive trips, and bonuses.  But the BEST part of being a demonstrator is all the wonderful new friends I have met through our love of papercrafting.

When I first started this journey I wasn’t sure what to expect.  I thought I would just give it a try for a few months and see where it led.  I never in a million years would have thought it would bring me so much joy – it has truly been a blessing.  My Crafty Foxes team is one of the best teams around – we always have so much fun when we get together.  We are more than friends – we’re like a family – always there for each other to celebrate the happy times and offer support in the hard times.

As I continue on this journey I would like to invite you to travel the road with me.  If you like to have fun, craft a bit, laugh a lot, and just enjoy life I’d love to have you join the Crafty Foxes team!  We are always up for answering your questions so drop us an email at craftyklock@gmail.com and we’ll get back to you.  If your ready to join right now, click here and welcome to the team.
